Acute Systolic Heart Failure [ICD-10 - 150.21] will happen suddenly. Systolic heart failure is characterized by ventricular dilation and reduced ejection fraction. Acute systolic heart failure happens because the left ventricle gotten bigger. Because it’s larger, the ventricle cannot contract the way it should and so the heart does not pump with the required force to push blood throughout the body.
