We are seeking a Senior Medical Coder who will be responsible for accurately converting medical diagnoses and procedures into the correct alphanumerical codes, ensuring operational efficiency and quality.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Medical Coding: Accurately transform medical diagnoses and procedures into designated codes (ICD-9-CM and CPT).

·         Turnaround Time: Meet daily coding volumes and ensure tasks are completed within specified turnaround times.

·         Client Guidelines: Follow client-specific coding guidelines and maintain operational quality and productivity.

·         Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Team Lead (TL) and Quality Analyst to improve performance, with a focus on meeting monthly targets and maintaining an accuracy rate above 95%.

·         Continuous Improvement: Participate in weekly QA and team meetings, providing feedback and addressing any concerns.

·         Confidentiality: Uphold the organization's information security policies, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of all medical records and information.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Any Life Science or Paramedical Graduate/Post Graduate.
• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in medical coding, particularly in Surgery and E&M coding.
• Certifications: CPC, CIC, COC, or CCS certifications are a must.
• Skills:
• Strong ability to interpret medical records across different specialties.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Speed and accuracy in medical coding.
• Expertise in ICD-9-CM and CPT coding, with a focus on emergency room coding.
