What
is the Basic Eligibility Criteria?
·
Any Graduate
Experience:
1. Candidates with 1 - 3 years of experience in
Medical Coding
2. Experience in E&M coding is preferred,
knowledge in other specialty is an added advantage
3. Risk Adjustment Coding experience is an added
advantage
4. Certifications desired CPC/COC/CCS from AAPC
and AHIMA is preferred
5. Strong Knowledge of the US healthcare industry
6. Knowledge of HIPAA standards
Responsibilities:
1. Review medical charts under the diagnosis and
procedure to ascribe the related CPT (E&M with Procedures) and ICD-10
2. Ensure that you assign codes based on coding
and client guidelines
3. Proficient in EM coding of
outpatient/Inpatient charts with over 97% accuracy and as per the turnaround
time
4. Strong knowledge in CPT and ICD-10 guidelines
5. Assign correct codes and perform edits as per
correct coding initiative
6. Work as part of a team and achieve the team
quality and productivity standards
7. Punctuality, Attendance and General Adherence
to company policies, procedures and practices
8. Strives to provide ideas to constantly improve
the process
9. Ensure adherence to external and internal
quality and security standards (HIPPA/ISO/ISMS)
10. Be an effective team player
