Anthem Blue Cross Changed Timely Filing Limit Oct'19

Anthem Blue Cross Timely filing Period Oct'19: Anthem Blue Cross (Anthem) has officially extended the Timely Filing Maximum to 90 days from the start to delivery. Billing Business will file claims within 90 days of the date of operation. Notification has also been submitted on 21 June 2019 to the operators of the networks and contracts in place. Anthem Blue Cross has adjusted Timely Filing Cap to start searching at opportunities to develop its procedures to comply with market expectations.

In an attempt to reduce procedures, increase quality and enhance continuity of treatment, we are updating all contractual arrangements in order to follow a standard timeline for the delivery of claims to us.

Effective on any claims submitted to Anthem on or after 1 October 2019, any eligible contracts would include the delivery of all qualified claims within ninety (90) days of the date of service. It ensures all applications made on or after 1 October 2019 will be subject to a time period provision of ninety (90) days and Anthem can deny reimbursement if they are received longer than ninety (90) days after the date of completion.

Important: If Plan is the secondary payor, the ninety (90) day timely filing Limit period will not begin until Provider receives notification of primary payor’s responsibility.
